Following on from my previous Team Honk post, here is digital postcard that I have been sent by them from the Basic Needs Trust in Accra, Ghana which helps people with mental health issues.
Over to Mummy Barrow to explain:
“We visited the Basic Needs Trust, an organisation based in Accra that has been receiving funding since 2002. The Trust was set up to help ensure that people living with a mental health issue in Ghana have access to the drugs, facilities required to improve their quality of life.
There is a still a huge misunderstanding of mental health in Ghana, as there is in the rest of world. And this Trust is doing it all it can to not educate people but give people with a mental health issue a sense of self worth again.”
As little as £10 can make a huge difference to people’s lives. For further information please hop over to Mummy Barrow’s post.
For the past 25 years the money raised through Red Nose Day has been changing the lives of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa. Let’s Keep Up the Good Work. Find out how atrednoseday.com

Isn’t it wonderful to see so many people, having access to this kind of help? When we think of Africa, we tend to think of poverty, famine etc, when does anyone ever mention Mental Health? I’m so glad that #TeamHonk have finally been able to shed some light on this.
